ONE STOP MOTORS TELEMARKETING SCAM

Onestopmotors or One stop motors : Either way its a rude and unprofessional telemarketing room in Las Vegas Nevada. They were very nice to us until we told them we didn’t want to buy their package.

I am Pastor Michael Adams. A van was donated to our ministry and we wanted to sell the van to raise money for improvements to our day care center. My wife listed the van on craigslist.org in June 2009. Within two days of listing we started getting telemarketing calls from Onestopmotors. Onestopmotors told us they were better then craigslist and said they could sell our van for more money because they have “special” financing for any credit type. It sounded interesting. The Day Care improvements would be expensive and any extra money would help. We decided to check out Onestopmotors on google.com before we gave them $499.00. We found hundreds of complaints on google under onestopmotors or one stop motors. The onestopmotors salesperson said those complaints are from former onestopmotors employees. I asked them why they have hundreds of angry former employees? It made me wonder how they are running their company. I asked the salesperson why Onestopmotors has 200 complaints filed against them with the Better Business Bureau and was given an F Rating. The onestopmotors salesperson said all their complaints have been resolved. I asked the salesperson why they still have an F rating if they’ve actually resolved all their complaints? The salesperson said he had another call and would have to call me back. Later that same day a Onestopmotors sales manager called us back with the same sales pitch and said he’d give us a discount if we signed up today. I said no thank you and hung up. I would advise to stay away from Onestopmotors. They truly sound like a scam.

Typical OneStopMotors Experience

Do not ever give your money to this company (editor note: and if you have cancel the charge now!). I bought into the sales pitch the first week of July, and guess what? I still have my car. They listed my car in couple of magazines, which by the way, at the most was 40 bucks a pop. And they listed it on Ebay. If I wanted to have it relisted after it DID NOT sell, I could do that for ANOTHER 100 bucks. I listed it myself for 8. Honestly, it’s a scam and ripoff. I was told by the guy that I’d have themoney that I put on my credit card with in 60 days. That’s, “How confident I am that One Stop Motors is going to sell you car.”

My car is in my garage, I’ve lowered the price and still nothing. If you need to sell your car, then do it yourself.

Stay away from this company.

And no, I’m not an ex-employee. I’m currently trying to sell a 1968 Camaro. That is the only connection to this company that I have!

Update to the Ongoing One Stop Motors Scam

I have noted various entries as of late that have been made on this site and many other sites on the internet by the One Stop Motors Internet Damage Control Team.

Generally they will point folks to their entry from Rip Off Report. It is important to note that the Rip Off Report is a scam unto itself. Companies that receive bad remarks on themselves at the Rip Off Report website can have favorable notes added by simply paying Rip Off Report money. This has obviously taken place with the case of One Stop Motors entry on their website.

The bottom line is that One Stop Motors (onestopmotors, 1stopmotors, onestopmotors.com) is a rip off if there ever was one. If you have just been taken pray by one stop motors it would be a good idea to call your credit card company now and cancel the transaction. You have just been scammed.

“I had this guy called Matt which promised me that he could sell my car for $1000 dollars more than what I asked, for but of course he wanted for me to pay him $300 for marketing purposes (yea right). So I told him that if he sold my car for $1000 more he could just get his costs of the sales price. When he found himself cornered and without any argument he became rude. Whatever you do never give out your credit card number to these thieves. They give you absolutely no guarantees. I looked them up in Nevada’s better business bureau, and they are not even a member. Further more they have had 167 complaints of people giving their credit cards to them and then never hearing a word from them again. Some people getting robed of $500 and up. This company is a joke. They have other affiliates so watch out. (Sell-car-free.com and sell-my-caronline.com) same scam just different names, since of course the word is already out about these lowlifes. Its funny how they managed to get a good review in here.

Probably Matt’s mom did manage to sell her Rav4. Beware of the dogs in this one. Matt if you are reading this…eat S..T”

How to Set Up a Advertising Scam for Vehicles and Make Massive Bucks

Well the first thing you would do is get a website built where you can “advertise” vehicles. This part of the process is actually pretty cheap in itself. You can simple post the required job on a freelance gig board if you dont know very slightly advanced web design yourself. They have a ton of desparados in countries like Pakistan that will do it for pennies on the dollar. Next you would have to score your prospects. The cheapest and most unethical way would be to scrape numbers off of the likes of auto trader magazine, craigslist, kijiji.com, ebay.com and other competitive sources. Then you would assign these phone numbers to auto dialers and telemarketers in a boiler room. To cover this expense and not actually have to pay anything for labour, all you have to do is make sure you pay these people on a commission only structure. So no real cost there. The only major expenses would be minimal infrastructure (telephones, booths, a few desks and computers…maybe even some crappy furniture and some ugly fake plants, a good supply of coffee, etc.). Also you would run ads to attract as many people as possible to call and recall the numbers that you scraped (ill gotten gains). Likely one of the more costy start up expenses.

Your business model would revolve around targeting folks who are not having much luck selling their cars, trucks, heavy equiptment, boats, yachts, vehicles, and suv’s at some of the best sources out there and getting them to accept the misconception that it is a very easy and practical to increase the price of your vehicle (to more than cover the excessive cost of your ad offering). You point out to them pre-laid keywords (bait) in paid advertising on the likes of Yahoo! with terms like “classic corvette“, as you guarantee to them that their keyword placement will also be within the top 3 “positions” with “Search Engine Optimisation”. As you also do not inform the victims that what you are actually doing is purchasing Pay Per Click advertising from the likes of Yahoo! instead. This has nothing to do with Search Engine Optimisation. This is done while not informing the end customer that their vehicle will only be assigned the most insignificant term possible that hardly anyone would likely type in anyway. This is because these are the absolute cheapest search terms that could be found. This would be a term like “ford f150 in texas“. Naturally you do not want to spend any meaningful amount on actually advertising the vehicle as you claim. This is due to the fact that as a scammer you do intent to make serious money of this alledged not-for-profit advertising charge. Certainly not “off the back end” with shipping and finance charges as you claim because the simple fact is you are not expecting your actual sales ratio to be profitable for that “back end”…you wont be selling enough cars to make money of those sectors, and the beauty is you dont have to!

Naturally, being a slightly intelligent scammer you know these misdeeds will not go unnoticed. To drown out complaints from blogs, consumer advocate, and extortion sites like ripoffreport.com; you must buy various domain names with your company’s name in it and post them with almost meaningless content on the internet. This way if anyone does type your firms name in any one of a number of variations, less complaints are likely to show up in the search results.

The finer details can be figured out as you go along. Heck, you dont even have to start out as a proper business entity of any kind. Now all you have to do is wallow in cash and figure out a way to sleep at night. Thats not so difficult now is it?

Sadly, eventually, there will be someone who is uncorruptable. Who will come along and write the truth. Someone who has the know-how and fortitude to remain vigilant and ensure the truth is available for those who are willing to look for it. Someone who makes backups and promises to aid their fellow man in exposing what is not always seen by everyone for what it appears to be…least at first.

This is the lure of the use of deception to gain. A form of evil itself incarnate.

We too, were took by this company. We advertised my son’s 2002 Mustang GT and we wanted 13, 000 and they offered to get us 15500 for only $500.00. So we went with them. Not one time after we paid have we heard from them. I have went on and lowered the cost myself twice because we have not had one call on this car.
