How to Set Up a Advertising Scam for Vehicles and Make Massive Bucks

By onestopmotors

Well the first thing you would do is get a website built where you can “advertise” vehicles. This part of the process is actually pretty cheap in itself. You can simple post the required job on a freelance gig board if you dont know very slightly advanced web design yourself. They have a ton of desparados in countries like Pakistan that will do it for pennies on the dollar. Next you would have to score your prospects. The cheapest and most unethical way would be to scrape numbers off of the likes of auto trader magazine, craigslist, kijiji.com, ebay.com and other competitive sources. Then you would assign these phone numbers to auto dialers and telemarketers in a boiler room. To cover this expense and not actually have to pay anything for labour, all you have to do is make sure you pay these people on a commission only structure. So no real cost there. The only major expenses would be minimal infrastructure (telephones, booths, a few desks and computers…maybe even some crappy furniture and some ugly fake plants, a good supply of coffee, etc.). Also you would run ads to attract as many people as possible to call and recall the numbers that you scraped (ill gotten gains). Likely one of the more costy start up expenses.

Your business model would revolve around targeting folks who are not having much luck selling their cars, trucks, heavy equiptment, boats, yachts, vehicles, and suv’s at some of the best sources out there and getting them to accept the misconception that it is a very easy and practical to increase the price of your vehicle (to more than cover the excessive cost of your ad offering). You point out to them pre-laid keywords (bait) in paid advertising on the likes of Yahoo! with terms like “classic corvette“, as you guarantee to them that their keyword placement will also be within the top 3 “positions” with “Search Engine Optimisation”. As you also do not inform the victims that what you are actually doing is purchasing Pay Per Click advertising from the likes of Yahoo! instead. This has nothing to do with Search Engine Optimisation. This is done while not informing the end customer that their vehicle will only be assigned the most insignificant term possible that hardly anyone would likely type in anyway. This is because these are the absolute cheapest search terms that could be found. This would be a term like “ford f150 in texas“.  Naturally you do not want to spend any meaningful amount on actually advertising the vehicle as you claim. This is due to the fact that as a scammer you do intent to make serious money of this alledged not-for-profit advertising charge. Certainly not “off the back end” with shipping and finance charges as you claim because the simple fact is you are not expecting your actual sales ratio to be profitable for that “back end”…you wont be selling enough cars to make money of those sectors, and the beauty is you dont have to!

Naturally, being a slightly intelligent scammer you know these misdeeds will not go unnoticed. To drown out complaints from blogs, consumer advocate, and extortion sites like ripoffreport.com; you must buy various domain names with your company’s name in it and post them with almost meaningless content on the internet. This way if anyone does type your firms name in any one of a number of variations, less complaints are likely to show up in the search results.

The finer details can be figured out as you go along. Heck, you dont even have to start out as a proper business entity of any kind. Now all you have to do is wallow in cash and figure out a way to sleep at night. Thats not so difficult now is it?

Sadly, eventually, there will be someone who is uncorruptable. Who will come along and write the truth. Someone who has the know-how and fortitude to remain vigilant and ensure the truth is available for those who are willing to look for it. Someone who makes backups and promises to aid their fellow man in exposing what is not always seen by everyone for what it appears to be…least at first.

This is the lure of the use of deception to gain. A form of evil itself incarnate.

To the one or those that are One Stop Motors, OneStopMotors, 1 stop motors, 1stop motors, and 1stopmotors:

Do the right thing and confess your betrayal and usary of your fellow man. Turn yourselves in to the proper authorities and make ammends for what you have done to innocent victims and society.

    Company information:
    One Stop Motors
    2950 South Rancho Drive #200
    Las Vegas, Nevada
    United States
    onestopmotors.com

Current state of what to expect as of Monday 02/09/09
    1 Assistant Customer Service Manager
    1 Ebay Listing Agent
    1 Member of Photo Department
    1 Customer Service Representative
2 Quality Assurance Representative (Hire date 09/05/09)

Ray Spears – Title Unknown. Sales Manager/ General Manager?

    Who am I?
Former Dealer Account Manager/ Customer Service

    Preface:
OneStopMotors.com does not finance on it’s own. It uses various banks. Verify what banks are participating in OSM listed vehicles.
THERE IS NO FINANCE DEPARTMENT AT OSM
THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF SALE OF YOUR VEHICLE
OneStopMotors.com will guarantee to advertise your vehicle until sold.
YOU have total control over pricing your vehicle.
COMPARE WHAT THE “pricing specialists” recommend, against what Kelly Blue Book http://www.kbb.com prices your vehicle at. I advise against using NADA, as the current economic strains on the lenders do not really support NADA values
KEEP IN MIND WHEN PRICING YOUR VEHICLE, A SAFE MATH FORMULA FOR ESTIMATING WHAT BANKS (generally) WILL LEND IS- A MAX OF 80% OF WHAT KBB PRICES the vehicle at!
This is very important when pricing your vehicle, as anything over that 80% will have to be paid by your buyer. Many people are not prepared to part with a “couple thousand” down payment, prior to making even one payment.

Places on the website to monitor:
    http://www.onestopmotors.com/aboutus.aspx
OneStopMotors.com does NOT offer Customer service hours on Saturday or Sunday. Email me for a screenshot. This WILL NOT HELP A SELLER!!! Be mindful of this, before you sign. They do disclose this. Buyer Beware.
Also from that same page, at the very end ” E-mail inquires will be answered promptly within 24 business hours” 24 BUSINESS HOURS means nearly 3 days. (I dont know what is so prompt about that) -And, if you were to write them on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday DO NOT count as days; as they DO NOT offer these “business hours” Again, Buyer Beware.

Additionally- Your conversation with your Sales Rep is NOT recorded. These people are not monitored -other than to stay within the “Script”
    IMPORTANT!
What allows OSM to WIN disputed cases/ cancellations, is the RECORDED VERIFICATION CALL OSM does AFTER you have given your credit card number. [REMINDER: OSM does not background check ANY of its employees and there have been reported cases of unauthorized charges, investigated and found to be made by OSM employees- to OSM credit, they do take this very seriously and will terminate employees who steal credit card numbers provided by customers]

    (continued)
THE VERIFICATION CALL- This is where you must ask SPECIFIC QUESTIONS!
IF your Sales Rep PROMISED you ANYTHING, MENTION THIS AND GET CONFIRMATION DURING YOUR VERIFICATION CALL!!!

The VERIFICATION CALL is when they tell you “YOU UNDERSTAND THIS IS A ONE TIME, NON REFUNDABLE FEE- DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS?” If you agree- You have just authorized payment under THOSE terms. Again, you MUST ASK ANY QUESTIONS AND CONFIRM ALL AGREEMENTS DURING YOUR VERIFICATION CALL. Once you agree to the “One time, non refundable fee”- there is usually little to NOTHING your credit card company can do to dispute a charge for ANY REASON, once OSM produces this recording. These recordings are ment to be kept at under 2 min – DO NOT BE DISSUADED FROM CONFIRMING ALL PROMISES. THIS IS KEY!

If you are aware of the services, as they exist- if you accept that OSM DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANYTHING but to advertise your vehicle until sold. They DO NOT PURCHASE VEHICLES- they DO NOT Guarantee Financing and they ARE NOT registered with the BBB http://southernnevada.bbb.org/bbb_rated_acc_rpt.asp?bbbid=65959&tr=rated&lg=F&ex=18%2C19%2C20 then you have done your due dilligence and deemd OSM is the right choice for your needs.

Take all of this under advisement.
    Buyer Beware.

Here is my OneStopMotors.com experience. Grab a cup of coffee, a box of tissue and close your wallet.

There is a lot to say about this company and I am afraid a good deal of it is not so positive.
The Owner, Rob Wilder has decent intentions, but is far removed from the inner workings of the business.

Unfortunately, this allows for bad business practice, poor company morale and severe intimidation and blackmail tactics to be instated.
I myself, worked for the company and have tried to bring these issues to light, to those in power to address and correct these problems. The Owner is well insulated and “out of the loop”- leaving an easy “in” for the money driven, power loving dregs, who dont allow him to learn of the goings on.
How does this happen, you ask?
    Good question.
As a Christian, I have prayed about it.I lost my job over fighting for the credibilty of the business. I even went out on a limb and told the Owners long, long time girlfriend and employee/investor of my concerns. I furnished evidence and facts of misdeeds and such related and in less than 24 hrs, I was threatened by Ray Spears and fired. In fact, my desk was cleaned out before I was ever fired. Ive reached out to Owner, Rob Wilder to notify him of the injustice within his company, the corruption and the problems that keep resurfacing and he has still not contacted me, leading me to believe that perhaps, he truely intends to turn a blind eye. I was told I could not speak to Rob Wilder.I was simply told I was terminated and I was told “You’ll be sorry” I dont actually know, even today- why I was fired, technically.

Now, I am unemployed. I have hundred and hundred and hundreds of clients counting on me to help them get what they were promised and i am crippled from doing that.

As of today’s date, there were about 33 thousand active accounts and Myself, as the (Former) Dealer Account Manager, 2 Customer Service Reps, (one of which is leaving on 02/06/09, due to issues with the operation of the company) One Ebay listing agent. Along with that, they have an Assistant Customer Service Manager who will knock himself out to help you, but is not Jesus Christ (dont expect miracles, folks) They have someone that puts your photos up as well has handles the charge back disputes.
There is bookkeeper, an assistant to the owner and a man named Ray Spears. Ask for him when you have questions about the company. He seems to have ALL THE ANSWERS.
They have a very strong in house IT dept, killing themselves to launch a new, state of the art website. But, for those of you interested in managing your accounts, there will be exactly 3 people qualified to answer your concerns and questions, come Monday 2/9/09

Anything you can not get answered, Ill be happy to help you with.
Lord knows I tried my best while employed by them. Apparently, I did such a terrific job that they can fire me and run the business just fine and dandy, without the owner ever finding out.

Rob Wilder, if you are reading this, you need to mind the store!
You can save yourself so much money, anguish and liability by drug testing employees!
I still want to share with you MY knowledge of what is happening with YOUR company. Real FACTS. Not rumors, etc.

I did the best I could for you and I will again, if you clean up the dregs and look at what is destroying your business. If you really want the things for your business that you sat there and expressed to me and the few others around the table. I will be your best cheerleader! Please call me.

Because the employees are not background checked or drug tested, I can not vouch for the state of the 90-100 constant rotation SALES Reps. (mostly requited by craigslist.org)
I worked in the administration, I managed the accounts and handled any issues- of which there are MANY.
Perhaps this is because OSM outsources so much of their work to Vietnam. If you have ever hired OSM to advertise for you, only to find your ad written in garbled language and hard to decipher, this is why.
Ive been told OSM is also thinking on outsourcing the entire Customer Service Department to Vietnam, as well. (Ray Spears)

Ray Spears values his employees to the point of reminding them YOU ARE REPLACEABLE, COMPANIES ARE CLOSING DOWN! BE HAPPY TO HAVE A JOB! YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE THANKING ME!!
    I digress.

Listen, the business MODEL is terrific.
The execution needs work. Big time. The Service end of the business is weak, at best.

Problems the company is currently experiencing.
    SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED.
OneStopMotors.com is looking to hire replacements for Administrative positions, however- At presant, expect many hiccups, as any replacements are totally unframiliar with servicing the needs of OSM customers.
Additionally, Due to Chinese New Year- Sellers who have signed from Jan 15th of this year, to present, may experience a delay in the posting of all promised links. BUYER BEWARE> There are currently dozens of accounts on delay.- Be dilligent about monitering uour advertisements!! Email me for screenshots.

Something else to consider; The interested buyers that phone in, are also handled by the SAME 3 people you are likely to talk to, come Monday. Anticipated hold time is … LONG. We, er… THEY have had 11 call in the queue on the average for the last 2+ weeks.(Including myself, we were only staffed with 5 people)
Remember, you will never get to talk to Rob Wilder, unless by some MIRACLE he realizes what is going on. Have a problem and looking for a Manager? The active Assistant Manager is HEAVILY overloaded and is several days wait. Instead, you might like to ask for Ray Spears.

He might turn his country bumpkin voice on. Have fun with it, he does!!!
He will dazzle you will his willingness to deliver for you, see how long that lasts.
Then, if you are met with broken promises, empty promises and a feeling of abandon, email me.

    [EMAIL MyRubySlippers4U@gmail.com]

If I have not found a job and I have the time… Ill try to help you navigate the “system”.
I have a genuine interest in seeing OSM Customers sell vehicles. Most people have spent money they really dont have, in the hopes of an easier, expiated, more lucrative sale. I heard it all day long, everyone has a story and I am sympathetic to all of them.Chances are, if you called the office you spoke with me.
Feel free to write me with questions. I will answer them as best as I can. I do this out of a sense of obligation and a true need for people to get the service they were promised, even though OSM chooses to NOT pay me for it. Fires me unjustly and turns a blind eye to the holes in the system.

I justified my purpose and my commitment to the promises of upper management. I believed (and still do) that as long as I was there to help customers, I was the best shot they had at getting what they paid for and were promised.
I believe in doing the right thing. Ultimately, I made the choice to raise my concerns as high as I could reach. I lost my job because of it.

I have not lost my voice. I have not lost my integrity. It is with big hopes and great optimism that I offer this posting to those searching for answers

I believe I can still help people trying to get answers and sell their vehicle-
I can not, however field your inbound phone calls from interested buyers. I will leave it to you to address that with OneStopMotors.

    Having said all that:
I do think Rob Wilder is the one to make Vehicle sales, by Independent Sellers a STREAMLINED, SUCCESSFUL PROCESS. I think HE is the one that started this, he has the passion and has laid a lot of ground work for it. –Not Ray Spears and Co.
